Arsenal lost 2-1 away to Fulham after taking the lead in the 5th minute.Arsenal are in a poor run of form and if they don't bounce back quickly they will fall behind in the title race.Arsenal were not at their best in the second half, taking the lead through Saka's goal but ending the first half 1-1. In the 59th minute Cordova-Reid's goal was an important win for Fulham who managed to win the match, but Arsenal suffered their 4th defeat in the league with this defeat and probably dropped 5 points away from the leader.Today we will watch the Liverpool-Newcastle United match.I don't expect Newcastle, who have had bad results in recent weeks, to take points away from Liverpool.I will be expecting Liverpool to win this match and open the gap.
If you can recall very well, this was almost the same pattern arsenal did last season that made them lose out of the title race to Manchester City, at this stage of the competition they are a bit inconsistent with their victories and I feel is a result of the fact that Arsenal does not have a second 11 team that has been built in connection with the first team, because the first 11 guys at this point have some level of fatigue and cannot really continue this consistency they possessed over this time.
Looking at the game against Fulham you could easily see that Arsenal had possessions and had more opportunities to score at the first half, at least the match would have ended that first half with the goals Arsenal would have scored, but however they lack consistency and I feel is more of fatigue on the side of the players at this point.
