It was quite an outstanding performance for the Egyptian attacker (Salah) who had 2 goals to his name, the victory was just too easy if you ask me with Newcastle playing like a team who has lost focus in the game. I couldn't get what's their plan B when it was 3-1, they seem confused at some point, with this display I don't see them (Newcastle) as a hard side to play against in the EPL.
Topping the league with the first game of 2024 is really going to be a morela booster for the team and it seems Liverpool will be the only team to give City a run for their money this season and probably Aston Villa because as it is I see Aston Villa as a better side than the Gunners that's why they (Arsenal) didn't come out as a competitive side for the title.
Liverpool love playing a wide and attacking football and is really working perfectly well for them and the wingers are also making oppositions beg to settle for the ball. They did the same thing against Newcastle with a lot of pressure, Klopp style of play has been impressive and is hard to mark them out and make Liverpool play something different.
Salah had a wonderful game last night and it seems like he might be missed when he leaves for the AFCON, I believe the coach of the side Klopp knows how it will be like without Mo Salah on the team. He has been the only old player who's still in that team if I'm not mistaken so at some point I don't think his absence would be felt, since they have younger ones who are eager to play. Liverpool can still replace him and even do better, if that happens then Salah should try to avoid injury because he'll be dropped and he won't have that first team shirt again if he comes with any sort of injury.
