There are 20 games to go from now and it is only 5 points between Udinese as 15th and Salernitana as 20th. That leaves Salernitana with three spots to realistically go for to avoid relegation at the end of the season. That doesn't sound to me as if that was a mission impossible. The win has shown that they are still alive and kicking. If they can beat Verona, nothing speaks against beating any of the other four teams that are in the relegation area. Frosinone hasn't won any of their last five games and is crashing at the moment.
At the bottom of the table, the points obtained by the bottom 3 teams are very slim, so if they only want to get out of the relegation zone, at least Salernitana and Empoli must be able to win 3 or 4 more times until this season is over. Last season Salernitana managed to finish in 15th place in the Serie A standings and this time it seems that their ranking will not be much different from last season, their efforts are actually quite good, it just remains to be seen how successful they are in completing a few more matches next.
