Now Mbappe will definitely not be able to leave PSG because he has a contract until the end of the season, but he can already start negotiating with other clubs. I read the latest news today that Liverpool wants to get Mbappe, I don’t know if this is true (as the French publication Le Parisien claims), but it seems that Real is still the number one contender. I don't think PSG will try to stop him, they will get big money for Mbappe and it looks like they are already looking for his replacement.
From the latest information I've gathered, Real Madrid is set to negotiate with Kylian Mbappe in the first week of January 2024 to finalize the possibility of the French forward joining the team on a free transfer. In the summer of 2023, Mbappe sent a letter to PSG's leadership announcing his decision not to activate the one-year extension option until the summer of 2025, and he was removed from the squad for the Asian tour. Subsequently, the two parties resolved conflicts as the French striker committed not to leave the club for free and was likely to extend his contract until 2025. However, by the end of December 31, Mbappe had not committed to his future with PSG, and according to FIFA rules, he can negotiate with other clubs from January 1, 2024.

Liverpool had previously expressed interest in recruiting Mbappe, but Real's chances of securing Mbappe are higher. Mbappe has directly contacted Real's president, Florentino Perez, and has expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid on several occasions.

As for PSG, they are confident they can retain Mbappe, believing that Real cannot offer a contract that meets the 25-year-old forward's desires. However, the recent tension between Mbappe and coach Luis Enrique could be an obstacle when PSG invites the 25-year-old superstar to sign a new contract.
