Brighton were slight favorites to win the match but the team, plagued with injury and Mitoma being called up for the Asian Games, they weren't really on their full squad. Brighton still created many chances but couldn't capitalize on any. Had 8 shots on target and 3 big chances missed, just couldn't get on the scoring sheet. West Ham won their previous match while being away to Arsenal, their fans would have expected another positive result and honestly, a draw even though hampers their chances to get into European football spots, still is a fairly good result as they looked outclassed by Brighton.
At first I favored West Ham because their last match was very impressive but apparently they didn't put in much effort in this match instead Brighton controlled the match with ball possession and shots unfortunately there were no goals, I assume this is just an unlucky day for Brighton. A draw does not change the position of the two teams in the standings West Ham and Brighton need more effort to catch Tottenham at least 5 more points are needed while Manchester United and Newcastle are stuck in positions 8-9 these 5 clubs are fighting to get tickets to the European league.
West Ham United and Brighton shared a point as the match ended in a goalless draw. Brighton performed better and had opportunities to win the game. However, they lacked clinical finishing and couldn't break through the defense of the opposing team. It seemed like they were content with a draw at home. Currently sitting in 7th place, it's a decent position for them at this stage of the season!
Brightron performing so badly in this game. The club was unable to break the defensive line of westham even though westham was always let brighton to attack. Zerbi's strategi can be countered easily through using the defensive strategy like that.
Im not feeling doubt caused by the performance from brighton was declining a lot since the early season. It's not the same like last season when people are feeling so damn good with it.
Zerbi needs to re evaluate his strategy again caused by it will not be effective once zerbi will face defensive team like westham. This is also the main problem occured in the manchester city since guardiola was also almost using the same strategy like zerbi,
Westham has made a few chances but the club unable to create effective counter attack that was helping the club to secure three points from brighton.
Brighton needs to accept draw as the result and many people were not predicting this caused by we do know how westham was able beating arsenal
