I would have given the first choice of winners this season to Manchester city, but with the way Liverpool is doing and being more consistent than other EPL teams like Arsenal who were thought to be more attuned to the spirit of competition, I think Liverpool can lift the trophy.
It is astonishing that Liverpool constantly lags far behind other clubs. Everyone believed that Manchester City may win the season league, but they are currently in third position in the standings after failing to maintain their consistency. The same thing happened to Arsenal, who everyone expected to win the Premier League this season. However, because of their poor performance, they haven't been able to win any of their recent games; the only one they've managed to win a draw is against Liverpool. Arsenal is now ranked fourth position in the table.
The season is still almost past the middle and the chances of another team like Tottenham Hotspur climbing up the table is very possible, because the tide can change and that's how the EPL competition is.
Tottenham Hotspur will undoubtedly struggle due of their extreme distance from the other teams in the table, thus I don't think they will be able to go up to the top of the standings. Since Liverpool is only ahead of Aston Villa by two points, I believe the only predictions we can make are that they might be able to move up to the top of the table. If Aston put much they will be able to dominate, perform well, and ascend to the top of the standings.
