Since I am someone who usually buys more than one ticket for lottery draws I chose my answer in the survey as "Yes". Although every ticket in the lottery draw has a one-time chance of hitting the jackpot or one of the prizes I think I increased this probability by purchasing a few tickets but I don't forget the fact that this is only a factor that increases the winning possibility. Of course, since some lottery draws offer options such as quarter, half and full tickets, I never buy two or four half or quarter tickets with the same number or series of numbers.

My personal opinion is that purchasing more than one lottery ticket increases the potential winning chances because in a lottery with a total number of 1,000 tickets the probability of each ticket winning a prize will be 1/1,000. In other words, purchasing 5 tickets will help increase the probability of winning a prize but with plain logic this rate should be considered as 1/1000 for each ticket not 5/1,000.
