Westham playing a draw against Brighton shouldn't be called shameless like is Brighton a joke? Remember Brighton is an average club in England that sometimes disgrace big teams even Westham should be happy that they earned a draw against Brighton because Brighton is stronger than Westham despite that Westham is higher than them in the league table and if you check the match yesterday, you will see clearly that Brighton dominated the game but they were just unlucky not to score after firing 8 shots on target.
Brighton isn't a team that should be seen as weak or underestimated because like you rightly mentioned, they do make games really tough for bigger teams and even end up winning in some cases so I must say that West Ham drawing against Brighton is considerably a fair result because I feel it's very possible Brighton would have won even playing fr away.
West ham did played a good game for me and deserves to have won the game but then Brighton has a very good defensive mechanism that can't be penetrated easily except if their opponent has got a better attack and striking force to be able to break through their defense, they are both average team and I wasn't expecting a goalless draw from them, by the end of the first half I was anticipating some goals by the second half since they couldn't get any in the first half but then both teams were really tough on each other and not letting loose of their defense at any point.
