If someone often watches the Champions League and Ligue 1 then it can seem very easy to judge because they used to have the best strikers in the team but there wasn't much they could do in the Champions League. In the Champions League, the strongest team may not necessarily be able to win, especially if PSG only relies on Mbappe individually because the Champions League is quite different from any other league, apart from experience it also requires collective player maturity.
For me, PSG is not the favorite team in the Champions League because there are many things they need to evaluate. Maybe we need to wait a few seasons so that Luis Enrique can bring PSG into a strong team and that depends on how management gives him the opportunity to manage PSG.
Favorites teams, Paris Saint Germain doesn't come close, it was 2 seasons back that we were able to sketch Les Parisiens as a potential club to win the UCL title. However they will keep making attempts until one faithful season, they will be crowned Champions of the UEFA Champions League which is regarded as the best trophy for club levels. Every UCL season, PSG makes it but they're unable to win the trophy, I keep asking myself this question repeatedly, why should we become surprised knowing fully well the standard of PSG and their incapability to win.
There was a small window of opportunity for them when they played the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and lost it 0-1. In that game PSG had their chances and they could have won the game with a higher level of efficiency, but Bayern Munich was the team that turned one of their two shots on target into a goal. It was a close game and nobody would have complained if PSG won the final back then.
But the real problem now is that I think PSG is much weaker than they were back then. That's why I highly doubt they can make it into the final again and then win the final. However, if they get some lucky draws now, I don't know maybe they can advance a few rounds. But if they are playing against Manchester City or Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, I can't see how they would be able to beat them.
