I mean Chelsea is not a great team neither, so them losing wouldn't be really a big deal, it would be possible for Fulham to end up getting a win, I think that's the most important part of it. However, Fulham should not be considered good just because they managed to beat Arsenal, normally they are not a good team and they will end up with a trouble on the long run as well.
I think it is a good thing that people are focusing on something that would not be all that crazy, Fulham will not be going around beating Liverpool, City and the likes. Chelsea might still be a possibility because Chelsea is not that great, but they may lose this one as well, so we should not really expect a big win from this game neither, just assume Fulham may lose any game.
Even though Chelsea is very inconsistent regarding their form, I can still consider Chelsea better than Fulham. Chelsea has many great players who can play attractive football compared to Fulham who tend to defend and counter attack. Teams like Fulham don't necessarily get much attention to compete for European places, but Chelsea are one of them despite their very inconsistent form.
Until now, Chelsea's probability of winning is around 60% compared to Fulham's 18%. Based on this analysis, Chelsea are actually favorites to win their home match, unless they fail to show their best form. Chelsea's problem is consistency of performance, but in terms of play, I think Chelsea is still the best compared to Fulham.
I agree 100% with you. They definitely got the quality players but I think they have the same problem as Manchester United, which is whenever a new player joins the team, he suddenly forgets how to perform well in the matches. I mean look at Mudryk, how he used to perform back in Shakhtar Donetsk dancing around the defenders, and now he can't seem to be doing much. Many players are injured as well but if we are talking about a team which won the UEFA Champions League a few years ago, they are doing worse than poor mate.
But my honest prediction will be that this match will be a draw considering their recent performances. Chelsea might win this match because they just won the match against Preston convincingly by 4-0.
