PSV - Dortmund matchup could also be evaluated as one of the close matchups. Because PSV aren't a weak team and can't be underestimated. Especially by Dortmund I mean. Dortmund have had a really good run in the Champions League so far. I must admit that. However they are still inconsistent in general when we add their performance in the Bundesliga into account as well.

If they can't make any progress until their Champions League first leg game I don't know what kind of a Dortmund we would watch on the pitch against PSV. But as long as they don't lose their focus on the Champions League they should still be able to stay one step ahead.  Smiley
It's clear that PSV shouldn't be underestimated, and any assumptions about Dortmund's success should be made with caution. Dortmund's impressive run in the Champions League is noteworthy, but domestic league form can often be an indicator of a team's overall performance, and it raises questions about Dortmund's ability to maintain consistency across different competitions.

Momentum and form leading up to crucial fixtures can significantly influence a team's performance. If they face challenges in their domestic league that affect their confidence or form, it could impact their effectiveness against PSV. Maintaining focus in the Champions League is paramount for any team with aspirations of success. However, it's worth noting that the unpredictability of football means that any opponent, including PSV, can pose a significant challenge.
