I certainly agree with you. I think after this move, Spurs will be able to fill the void better which will be created because Son left to play in the AFC Cup. I thought Richarlison would have to fill the gap but I think Timo Werner would do better than him.
Werner is a player who has experience in the Premier League and won the Uefa Champions League. I agree with you that he was kind of unlucky in the Chelsea squad. He kind of returned to his forms after returning back to Leipzig and if he can be provided with chances he might even become the next Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspurs.
Honestly in this case I don't really want to have too big expectations for Werner when his move to Tottenham is currently.
Wener's performance to date still does not look good and indeed when he is in Leipzig now he mostly spends time on the bench and starts from there so when trying to give more hope to Werner at Tottenham when the workings of the EPL are definitely much heavier compared to the Bundesliga to be honest I still have doubts about this.
Indeed for the option he can still be given a chance at Tottenham because however at the moment Tottenham are still struggling to make a breakthrough because the pure striker in their squad is very minimal so this will sooner or later definitely interfere not to mention some of the obstacles they have when players who are used as a backbone like Son cannot play then obviously this will put even more pressure on them.
With Werner at least this can be a good option as a patch in the hope that he can play well unlike at Chelsea and Leipzig at the moment but if in the end he does not match expectations and his performance still remains the same I think that's the point we don't have to expect too much from this player.
