Werner is a player who has experience in the Premier League and won the Uefa Champions League. I agree with you that he was kind of unlucky in the Chelsea squad. He kind of returned to his forms after returning back to Leipzig and if he can be provided with chances he might even become the next Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspurs.
Actually when discussing this player I think that even though the trophies he managed to get with the club he had defended were quite a lot but in terms of contribution he was one of the very weak players.
Werner was previously transformed into a player who could contribute more to one club but slowly it faded and what was felt was of course when he was at Chelsea.
I don't mind the trophies he has because it's the whole team that deserves credit but individually it's clear he's below par and we know that.
2 seasons at Chelsea with a total of 56 appearances he could only score 10 goals and for Leipzig to date he has played 35 times and has only scored 11 goals including 2 goals this season in my opinion there is nothing special about this player.
So there is no need to expect too much because in the end expectations like this will not be able to guarantee him at Tottenham if he cannot change his performance for the better.
