What Xabi Alonso and Leverkusen have been showing since the last season is very impressive and they actually are improving themselves a lot. Beating Bayern Munich in this season is harder than the last season because since the summer transfer, they got a world-class striker, Harry Kane. It is what Bayern Munich did not have last season after letting Robert Lewandowski moved to Barcelona.
It would be very interesting if the situation changed for now. Yes, it cannot be denied that Kane's presence has had a big influence on Bayern Munich. However, this also includes the team as a whole.
