Napoli were a huge disappointment for their fans once again I'm afraid. 
If it weren't for that red card maybe there would have been a chance for Napoli to make a comeback. Mazzocchi is really unbelievable. He entered in the 46th minute and got a direct red card only 4 minutes after that. 
Just how can you?
The more interesting part is Mazzocchi was signed by Napoli only 3 days ago. This must be the worst start for a player at their new team. Osimhen is out for a while due to national selection so a really bad time period might be waiting for Napoli until he comes back.

The way Napoli is playing right now, they are definitely not defending the title successfully. They are towards the mid-table right now. And with the current performance that they are showing, I do not see them actually improving anytime soon. They are in the 9th position right now and there are a lot of teams ahead of them which it shouldn't be in my opinion. They are the defending champion and I do not think that any defending champion can actually fall off in such a way and actually be able to rise back up and defend the title successfully. I think it is going to be a problem for them. Actually, it might be a problem for them to finish in the top four, to be honest.
