Revel 0-5 PSG
Today in the match of the Coupe de France, PSG's players shows a great dominance. The opposition is naturally quite weak compared to PSG. So I thought Luis Enrique might give his second line players a chance in this match. But he didn't do that. PSG players dominated from the start of the match.

PSG players had 78% of the ball possession in the first half. They managed to make a total of 15 shots, out of which 7 were on target. And the important thing is that PSG team lead by 4-0 goals in the first half. And Mbappe scored another goal at the beginning of the second half. Mbappe scored the goal from Marco Asensio's pass. Mbappe has already scored three goals. Asensio has one goal and two assists. Carlos Soler had two assists. PSG won today's match by 7/8 goals, but it is not surprising.
It was a painful result for Revel. PSG scored exactly nine goals and there were just as many missed opportunities. He struggled from the start of the PSG match until the final whistle. It wouldn't have happened if Mbappe didn't score a hattrick in this match and he did it, I had no doubt about him, we are now used to him scoring hattricks in such matches.

PSG does not show mercy against such easy opponents, for some reason they always achieve such different results.

One part of me is surprised and another part of me is not. As I have said so many times, Ligue 1 is like a picnic for PSG. Ligue 1 is the highest level of the football league in France and Revel is a team which is not even in the Ligue 1. They are not even in the 2nd tier of the football league in France so Revel definitely did not stand a chance against PSG.
The part of you that was surprised is the part that believe in magic. Why will anyone expect PSG not to destroy Revel, a team that can't even match the least team in French League 1. The goal margin was no surprised either because it is customary for PSG to score many goals against weak teams during cups.

What I don't understand is why they are playing some of the main team players, to be honest. The schedules are tough these days and they should be given rest. Mbappe was brought out to play the game as well.
You are right, I was not expecting PSG to play their first team in that match because their reserve could have won that match effortlessly. I think one of the biggest problem of Luis Enrique is managing the players. By this I mean knowing when to play certain players and when not to. Even at Barcelona, he had this problem at some point. Now that PSG has made it to Champions League round of 16, he has to be smart in managing the players.
