What makes you think like that mate? Every new discovery will always be different from the old discovery or previous discovery even though the concept seems almost similar. Because there must be quite fundamental differences in each finding, both in the advantages and disadvantages of the newly discovered product. So in my opinion there will never be anything the same as Bitcoin in the future even though there are many reliable researchers who are trying to find the same thing as Bitcoin in the future. The concept of a currency like Bitcoin is very different even though everyone probably knows that Bitcoin is a decentralized currency.
