I don't charge everyone $40 it varies per transaction.
If you have different rules for this forum and Reddit then you should have written that, because the way you posted your ad suggests that your compensation depends on how aware someone is of what's going on with mempool right now. People need to know that the fees are currently low and they don't need to pay anyone to speed up their transactions.
Sorry for the multiple consecutive posts. I will ensure to read the forum rules carefully.
I will also edit my original post to clarify the fee structure, I put $40 in the Reddit post because most of those were performed through F2Pool and $38-$41 is a common acceleration costing range charged by them.
I understand mempool fees are low at the moment, I also understand that personal transactions performed by a private key owner can be RBF or CPFP by the sender themselves and I would endeavor to help them to achieve this outcome themselves if that was the case.
My focus is on those transactions that are sent by a custodial service of which the recipient is not in charge of the wallet and the setting of the fee rates and therefore can't RBF or CPFP the transaction themselves and is left in limbo just waiting and hoping fees come down to like 5 sat/vB just so they can get their BTC.
I have helped people that have had transactions from custodial entities such as Cashapp or Online Casino's that have been sitting unconfirmed in the mempool for 2-3 months, in these cases I push the raw hex first to get it seen by more nodes before attempting acceleration.
With the ViaBTC free option no longer being available there will be a need for paid acceleration services, I just don't want to be taking advantage of people when they find themselves in a predicament that is out of their control.
