PSG's weakness is an attraction that cannot be fully resolved because it is not easy to be in a situation where every season you are only motivated by chasing the Ligue 1 title or other domestic titles and that is the reason PSG always lags behind other top European clubs. They only rule in France and when they leave their comfort zone they are no doubt like prey that must be hunted by other great predators.
Using a new strategy in a match such as against a weak Revel team in the Coupe De France competition is not wrong, but of course the results will be different when this strategy is applied against a team that is quite strong or equal. So I think it's not a matter of strategy but more about having fun because a typical big team like PSG only looks great when it's like this and when playing against other strong teams in Ligue 1 they aren't necessarily able to do that.

I think the management thinks too simply by wanting star players then they can rule but in the end being in a big competition is not that simple so PSG should know that they need to make some improvements not only in the player sector but in other sectors including their management.
In fact, PSG is still capable, but with his first season as coach, Luis Enrique is expected to be the solution to PSG's current target of winning the Champions League. Of course, this cannot be done quickly and PSG must keep Luis Enrique longer so that everything is connected. We know that Luis Enrique is an experienced coach and his current challenge is to be able to bring PSG to win the Ligue 1 title again and also reach a higher stage in the Champions League. Moreover, if he can bring PSG the Champions League title for the first time, Luis Enrique will definitely get a contract renewal with an increased salary.
I think this time PSG is not really demanding that there are star players in their squad, except for Mbappe, they have to survive whatever happens. We know that it will not be easy for PSG to run without Mbappe and with the current squad of players this could be the answer that will give hope for the future.
