I don't see any clubs emerging as serious threats since Real Madrid currently has everything they need to stay on track for success. Carlo Ancelotti is there, and his presence is important for Los Blancos. I wasn't surprised to watch Real Madrid make an epic comeback in the game extra time; they didn't wait or depend on penalty shootouts, but instead they became more serious and strived harder for good results which they finally achieved. Real Madrid had the best chances to take the lead, but they missed a couple more, leaving them in a position where they would have to compete with Los Colchoneros for goals.
By signing a new contract with Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid made a good step to secure stability in their club in next seasons. In this season, Girona is emerging as an interesting discovery of La Liga but they are like a recipe to make the league more interesting to watch. At the end, they will not be able to win La Liga and I believe that they will end at the fourth position as their highest position in this season. I believe Barcelona or Atletico Madrid will also end this season in top four and Girona will have to compete with these two clubs for one position in top four from second to fourth positions.
