I'm confused and looking for answers
If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?
It depends on the kind of loneliness you are talking about because I don't think there is a connection between loneliness and gambling, although loneliness can result to other things but I don't think it could result to gambling on less you have interest on gambling, however one of the stuff that result or makes someone to start gambling is being jobless and at that moment you are vulnerable to anything that can easily Fitch money for you and perhaps gambling will be the only solution so that's one of the things that makes someone to join gambling easily.
Loneliness can result in any form of addiction be it drugs, pornography, gambling, or other forms. When one is lonely the mind will keep wandering to different activities. There is always a strong desire to discover activities that can occupy these idle periods. At this point, this lonely person can be prone to any addiction based on the options he or she has. This is why it is always important to engage yourself in any kind of activity like reading or learning new skills when one is idle because at that period one can be vulnerable to all forms of activities.
Once addiction dominates you, it will surely harm the balance with your mental and financial capabilities.
It is somewhat ironic that with the massive access people have to technology that allows them to communicate with other people all over the world, more and more people feel alone and they are engaging in behaviors that could make them take a dangerous path, so if anyone is feeling this way what they need to do is to look for company with groups of people that may enjoy their hobbies, and in this way eliminate any possibility of developing an addiction.

It is becoming clearer every day that man is designed to have face-to-face communication and not this distance interaction that is facilitated by technology. The more we get closer to technological communication the more we get isolated and suffer from depression. I think people should focus more on building healthy relationships with others or joining groups that promote physical interaction, this could help reduce addictions.
