I don't think it's a big deal to stake $50 on a game with potential winning of $42 million provided a gambler gave the money to do so but what I'll not do is to advise anyone to do because I won't even fo that myself in my current financial status. $42 million isn't a small money and for a gambling company to put up such mouthwatering amount for their customers to win , I think it'll be almost impossible to win it at just one try.

No betting company will want such amount of money to leave their account easily and that's why they'll not want their customers to win it until they've fully recovered their money. So to me it's a way of attracting people to stake their money when they know it won't be an easy win
Not only you and maybe most gamblers also don't have a problem risking $50 on the games they play because that's what they're used to doing. Talking about companies that have a good reputation in gambling, it is normal to pay big winnings obtained by customers because they will not sacrifice their reputation by cheating, except for certain companies that do not have a clear reputation. I think there are times when companies spend as much money on winners who hit the jackpot as there are many people who have already won.

Apart from that we can see in the lottery how people get big wins and the company keeps paying them according to the winnings. The level of a company's reputation is seen in how they handle it and more rationally, it may be difficult to get a big win in the jackpot category, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
