i can understand if sometimes you have the desire to chase your losses, because that's a very normal response. however, you should know your limits when you feel you are about to go overboard with your boundaries. as based from my experience, you can't totally say, you will always follow your target budget because sometimes you want to play more as you want to win or recover some or you are still enjoying your game. but as much as possible, when such situations arise, pause for a bit, and contemplate if what you are doing will be good for yourself, and your financial budget.
Chasing your losses once or twice is normal, and most gamblers have done this at some point, since at the time they were very mad about the losses they were incurring and this made them to try to get their money back at all costs.

However when this behavior becomes the norm then it is clear there is an issue and an effort must be made to correct it immediately, because if this is not done then this conduct will get normalized in our minds and it will be way more difficult to change it down the line.
