It was one of the best Derby matches at the start of the year. Even though Atletico Madrid lost that match, I still feel they lost with great honor. Because after all, Atletico Madrid has put up very strong resistance which even kept the score level in normal time. Both teams have played very well and were very aggressive from the start. One of the best derby matches i have watched in a while and was a good way to start the year for us, both teams showed they were ready for each other and it was the an interesting match to watch. Real Madrid always show they are ruthless when they get to extra time and once again they did it again and showed they are the king of extra time. Atletico Madrid on the other side proved that they are a strong opponent as well and they put up a good fight. That’s how derby matches are supposed to be, full of goals, interesting and entertaining.
When they meet agaiin in the copa del rey i believe it will be a different story and Atletico Madrid will come more prepared with the intention of winning the game.
Of course Atletico Madrid will definitely be better prepared for the next derby in the Copa Del Rey. Because Atletico Madrid will also have the home advantage in this match. And if it turns out that Atletico Madrid wins the match on Copa Del Rey then that will make everything even more interesting. Because 2 weeks after that these two teams will meet again in Laliga. Maybe at the third meeting the atmosphere on the field will get hotter.
