It was one of the best Derby matches at the start of the year. Even though Atletico Madrid lost that match, I still feel they lost with great honor. Because after all, Atletico Madrid has put up very strong resistance which even kept the score level in normal time. Both teams have played very well and were very aggressive from the start. And these two teams really played like they were in a UCL match. Well, this match really wasn't boring from the start to the end.
And Atletico Madrid might be able to avenge their defeat in this match in the near future. Because Atletico Madrid will face Real Madrid again in the 16th round of the Copa Del Rey. And I hope this match will be as exciting as the last match.
One of the best derby matches i have watched in a while and was a good way to start the year for us, both teams showed they were ready for each other and it was the an interesting match to watch. Real Madrid always show they are ruthless when they get to extra time and once again they did it again and showed they are the king of extra time. Atletico Madrid on the other side proved that they are a strong opponent as well and they put up a good fight. That’s how derby matches are supposed to be, full of goals, interesting and entertaining.
When they meet agaiin in the copa del rey i believe it will be a different story and Atletico Madrid will come more prepared with the intention of winning the game.
Yes, I felt very satisfied seeing yesterday's match between the two clubs giving each other resistance, but I have to admit that Real Madrid really has very reliable players, very strong cooperation helping each other to score.
Previously, I said that Atletico Madrid has a very strong defense and we definitely saw how the defenders tried to secure the goal when given strong pressure from Real Madrid.
I really liked that in the last minute a player ran very fast to add a score for Real Madrid.
That was the moment i felt pity for Atletico Madrid because they thought they could get a draw at stoppage time or the extra time and went all out to get the goal but they chose to ignore the fact that Real Madrid is the king of counter attacking football and doesn’t really matter what time it is, if you are attacking Real Madrid you need to be cautious and you need to set 2-3 players at home in case of any situations of counter.
Oblak cost the team for going out of his lines and he was so terrible at running and cost the team the 4th goal. Overall the match was interesting and both teams gave it their best but the two goalkeepers made some errors that led to goal.
