Son is at the Asian Cup too so they will need somebody to step up in his absence. I am doubtful Werner will come close to replicating the influence Son has.
Of course Timo Werner cannot, and then they also have Richarlison who is on the same level with Werner as average players, so i would have imagined that this is the time for him to step up in Son's absence. Well, if Ange went for Werner, then he definitely has plans for him in the team, we'd see how everything pans out.
Werner's potential first game is a big one against Manchester United, that is if the manager thinks he is ready to play on Sunday, if he can go on and make a statement in such a big game, we might start to take him seriously in his new team.
