It was a good point for the two teams, most especially Everton who came into this game on the back of three consecutive EPL losses against Spurs, City and the latest one was a 3-0 defeat against Wolves, though Everton didn't get back to winning ways, but at least they got a point that keeps them in 17th position and out of the relegation zone for now. Aston Villa remain in 3rd position on 43 points, same as City (though the champions have a game in hand), if Aston Villa continue to pick up points the way they have been doing in the last couple of weeks, they might be playing in the CL next season.
