  Well, sure, this verifies but the purpose of staking an address is for proof of account ownership.  Since you've already staked and address, a signed message from that previously staked bitcoin address would first be required in order to verify you are who you claim to be.  How do we know you aren't using a purchased account or worse a hacked account or even worse still a purchased, hacked account?
 
 I think you have to renounce the first bitcoin address by signing a message with it before we accept a second staked address or this whole thread is pointless.
