What I saw was that Man United played badly in this match, so it could be considered that they were very lucky to get a draw. If we look at the possession of the ball and how Tottenham really dominated the game, as if this was an away match for Man United, though we all know the match was held at Old Trafford. As a team, Man United doesn't have a good rhythm and they also look very sluggish on the pitch (only a few players seem to have a high fighting spirit : Hojlund, Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes)
Manchester United had a strong opponent this week and of course a draw was very good for them. Tottenham this season, if compared with Manchester United, Tottenham is definitely much stronger than them. In this match, Tottenham performance was more impressive because they were able to balance their strengths at home to their opponents. I think Manchester united weakness is none other than because they didn't focus on playing more defensively when they took the lead early.
An additional 1 point from this match made Tottenham equalize their points tally with Arsenal. But Arsenal still has one game for week 21 so Arsenal has the opportunity to get away from tottenham pressure. Tottenham continues to put pressure on the top 4 ranked teams because if they fail to achieve maximum results then tottenham will take advantage of the opportunity to return to the top 4 rankings.
The result of Manchester United game against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday didn't sit well with majority of the fans of the home club as it has sparked series of reactions from most of them. To the home fans, they were of the opinion that Manchester United should've won the game convincingly which I think was a disrespect to Tottenham Hotspur and their efforts since the start of the season. Tottenham Hotspur was once at the top of the league and were the last team to lose a game in the English Premier League this season so playing out a draw against them shouldn't be seen as a bad result even when their top scorer Son Heung-Min didn't feature in the game.
Now that a lot of the fans of Manchester United are calling for the sack of Erik ten Hag because of his poor performance this season, I think it's safe to say that the manager have been poor and deserves to be sacked. Unless a new manager is brought to manage the Manchester United team for the rest of the season, I don't think they'll finish the season in the top four of the league.
