op I agree with you because of the way Australia performed in the Test series against Pakistan it is certainly expected that Australia is going to be the best team to play Tests. Since the start of the 2023 World Cup, Australia has performed brilliantly and they have returned home as champions. As soon as the World Cup ended, India played a T20 series, but India won that series. But if we talk about the test series against Pakistan then no doubt Australia batsmen batted well and bowled well due to which they won the three test series against Pakistan. If this win can be maintained and play well, Australia will definitely be the best team in Test cricket in the future.
I don't think even India is actually as good as Australia in the test format to be honest. Because Australia is the best team when it comes to test cricket in my opinion. Of course India wins matches when they play home matches against almost any team. However Australia is probably the only team that has the most consistent performance in the test format against any team and in both home and away matches. And in recent times australia is also playing really well. I personally don't think Australia is actually the most powerful team in the world right now. I think that might be India. But Australia is better when it comes to team performance. And in test format team performance is the thing that counts the most.
