Yes risk is the game itself and when you gamble you are not only accepting it, but also actively looking for it by betting to something that is inherently uncertain. That is not necessarily a rational behaviour, like many fun things that are not rational, but it certainly cannot be classed as irresponsible because a person may be well aware an prepared for a worst case loss scenario.

Have been in gambling Physically for 30 years(not that addicted of course but knows what is happening in gambling world) and 6 years in crypto gambling meaning that i have seen those scenarios over the years and yes gambling is like accepting your defeat even before starting to bet.
this is because we have experienced completely losing over those years yet we continue to gamble .
