Yeah, you are right every person has their own opinion and judgment about the teams but if looking at the statistics we found Australia the best team in the test format. Australia and India played Many matches and mostly Australia won the matches.
Today I saw a video on YouTube which was a few months ago but it's not a big deal because nothing gonna change that much that causes one team and the other down. In the video, I saw that Australia has a win rate of 47.50% while India has 30.15% which shows that Australia is better than India. There are many other things in the video here I am giving the

Test importance is declining because of too much T20 otherwise test is the proper cricket. Right now Australia is number 1 test team while India is number 2 in test format with little point difference. Australia are number one in test because they pay much attention to this format. There is BBL going on in Australia but there players including Warner were playing test series against Pakistan. While Pakistan main bowler Haris Rauf preferred playing BBL instead of Test series and result is 3-0 victory for Australia.
Test importance never been on decline because this is one of the best format even facing some problems due lack of quality and few other factors and I will blame ICC for this all they completely fail to bring anything positive and also just encouraging few big countries are never been idea for any sport we have too much discussion about this all, but we never ended with any positive note because in ICC we have peoples those are never been interested in development of this game, and they are doing just filling their deep pockets and this all happening because big 4 are controlling all things.
If ICC brings some good changes, and we will be able to bring all teams on one platform then surely many problems can solve, and we will be able to have enough funding for the many countries which will help for the development of this game but for this we need positive and professional mind-set which is not available currently in ICC.
