The English Premier League isn't a new league competition for Timo Werner who previously played in the competition in two seasons with his former club Chelsea and if he can be prolific for the club in the remaining months of the season, Tottenham Hotspur's management might consider signing him on permanent basis
To be honest, I personally do not rate Timo Werner highly. Go back to his time at Chelsea and you can imagine how clumsy and awkward Timo Werner was. Specifically, he has many problems that a striker should not have: poor mentality and slow decision making. However, Timo Werner still has his strengths such as speed and the ability to choose good positions.
With Tottenham, the usual way of playing is to push high from behind to lure the opponent forward. Once the opponent presses, there is more space behind, giving Ange Postecoglou's team the opportunity to execute what they often call an “artificial counter-attack” – keeping control but exploiting the space quickly Quick, looks like a counterattack. With his speed, Werner can certainly take advantage of this style of play. Tottenham may have targeted this style of play for Werner, leading to his recruitment. Hopefully in the future, he can improve his finishing ability and make faster decisions, potentially becoming a good replacement for Son Heung-min.
