I thought West Ham would recover in the second half, but Benrahma's red card turned the whole order upside down. Unfortunately, after this moment, nothing was achieved other than waiting helplessly against Bristol. They don't care much about the FA Cup, but it must still be sad for them to lose to a team in the lower league.
West Ham were bound to lose from the beginning of the game. You could just see it from the relaxed way they approached the game, as if they had done better in the first leg. They made so much defensive mistakes that inside of 3mins, Conway punished their carelessness and although I've not watched Bristol City play prior to their game yesterday, I just summed them up to be the kind that will defend with all their might if they got the first goal and also pair it with counter attacks and too bad David Moyes and his men has to taste that.
Most of these lower division sides don't have the champions league, Europa league or conference league to bother about so once competitions like this come up, they give it their all.
West Ham just went ahead to kill the hopes of fans who were hoping that even though they were knocked out of the Carabao cup, at least they have this to fight for since winning the Europa league could be a long stretch, but alas they had to get knocked out by Bristol City who they underestimated.
