I really don't like double standards for teams but there is nothing we can do about it unfortunately. Manchester City also faced issues with FFP but they didn't get punished for that. When Everton do a similar thing their situation is evaluated differently. Why do these FFP rules are only applied for smaller teams?

Anyways this season will be really difficult for Everton and they are likely to battle for not to relegate on the final weeks once again. Everton weren't like this in the past but for a couple of years they have been really terrible. At least they haven't relegated yet.

Everton's current position is number 17 with 17 points. I read local news, Everton could have received a second penalty related to profitability. If there is another 10-point deduction penalty then they will be at the bottom. This means they will have only 7 points left. There's a good chance they could be relegated. If they can't win every game.

If Everton gets the sanctions for deducting points again, then of course Everton will immediately be thrown to the bottom of the standings. Even if that happens I doubt Everton will be able to avoid the relegation zone. Because with only 7 points remaining, it will be difficult to catch up with Luton's 16 points.

I think Everton should file an appeal or a more aggressive defense so they can receive lighter sanctions. Because it would be quite sad for Everton if they had to be relegated just because they received a double points deduction.

Well that would be really sad. But Everton's minimum points deduction is 6 points based on what I read. So Everton can fight so that they are not sanctioned with a 10 point deduction again, but getting a 6 point deduction might still give them the opportunity to avoid the relegation zone.
