Once gambling becomes an addiction it is really difficult to quit. When gambling consumes a person's thoughts and actions silently when they cannot stop even after repeated attempts when all economic family or social relationships are gradually destroyed then it will turn into a mental illness. If a gambler can keep himself in control then no action is needed. But when you lose control and your family goes beyond correction you have to find another way.
Just like every other addiction needs meditation, the gambling addiction also needs the same type pf cure and attention but unfortunately, the gamblers either do not seek any such assistance or there does not exist any such facilities easily, where the addicted gamblers can reach out for their treatment.
By the way, gambling addiction is an expensive illness where the gamblers play excessive gambling and hence lose a lot of money. Therefore i do not think the medication and cure for this can be of low cost. I guess since there are not much talk about gambling addiction facility center's, those offering these services, may charge higher than other medical addiction cures.
