Those that keep their gambling habit a secret is it that they're not proud of what they are doing?.
They are not proud at all, because they consider this action to be wrong in their own eyes, those of other people and the environment in which they live. In a broader context, gambling addicts interpret themselves as negative people from many points of view, both legal, religious and social, yes we know even though several countries legalize gambling. However, when you choose to keep it a secret, it means that gambling addicts have a fearful side of the things I mentioned. In essence, an addict who keeps his gambling behavior a secret is not at all proud of what he does, if he was proud it would be published without having to keep it a secret.

There is no reason whatsoever that can be accepted by common sense regarding gambling addiction, those who are currently proud of their luck, tomorrow when they are not lucky will keep it a secret too. That's the cycle of a gambler life, for reasons of family, friendship and work, what he fears will have an impact if he doesn't keep it a secret is just bullshit, because logically when he gambles it means he has taken whatever risks could arise in the future.
