I know that Arsenal have found themselves the subject of speculation suggesting Arteta could try to land Benzema in a bid to solve their striking struggles but somehow I’m not convinced about this deal. I understand that Arteta needs a new No.9 after both Gabriel Jesus and Nketiah's struggles in front of goal this season. Honestly I would like Arsenal to look somewhere else for a new striker. Benzema is 36, his wages would be a problem for this Arsenal side and I don’t think Arteta can handle his ego.
They’re already good, decent strikers that can give them what they want in Benzema. There’s a certain Ivan Toney, Vlahovic and the likes.
Arsenal shaky this season and they're no longer in the top four this season after they declined in their performance in matches. Arsenal headcoach, Mikel Arteta have numerous options to triggered in the transfer window. He has scouts for potential forwards in the team. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Edward Keddar Nketiah and Leandro Trossard, these are the frontlines that are held for the solidable foundation of the club. They're important and if Mikel Arteta valued them, he would worked on developing them and not search outside for new strikers because I see nothing wrong with the current condition of the club.
The truth is that, this Season have not been the best season for Asernal unlike the last season when the club almost won the title of the premier league and was able to stay at the top of the league's point table for a very long time before the eventually lost it to Manchester city but still was able to finish the league within the top 5 club's but in the current season, Asernal have struggled to come close to the top 10 and within the top 5 but still yet have hard alot of missed matches which have affected the clubs performance for the entire period, then also e may still be optimistic that their going to change the face of things as time goes on and seeing that their position is gradually getting lost in this Season.
When Arteta succeeded in bringing Arsenal to finish as runners up in the EPL last season, club officials felt confident in providing financial support, which would allow Arteta to revolutionize the club in order to win trophies this season. We know the names that were successfully landed at the Emirates last summer, and it is hoped that they can add depth to the squad, so that the bitterness of defeat at the end of the season will no longer be repeated. Arteta was successful in his efforts in the transfer market last summer, which put Arsenal at the top of the list as the club with the highest market value in the world. However, the ambition to win trophies seems to have to be rationalized again, because Aston Villa is still better in points than Arsenal at the moment.
Man City stumbled and was unstable in several matches, but Pep Guardiola was able to motivate his team to get up as soon as possible. In the last five matches, Arsenal was only able to achieve one win, one draw and three defeats, the difference here is that the Gunners are believed to be finding it difficult to recover, in order to mark a turning point in their performance, unlike City who are back on track to challenge for the title. It looks like Arteta will not be able to bring his fleet to finish in the runner up position like last season, because in my opinion Liverpool and City will not move at the top of the standings, regardless of who wins the trophy.
It is believed that Arteta needs a capable number 9 player to carry out his plans to win the EPL trophy this season. Several names have been linked at the moment, starting from Benzema, Ivan Toney is on Arteta radar. In my opinion, Arteta really needs to recruit a quality striker, who can score goals in every match, so that he can compete with Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa again in the future. The closest match, Arsenal will host Crystal Palace at the Emirates, they must forget yesterday defeat in the FA Cup to Liverpool, and look to the future by trying to beat Crystal Palace. An additional three points will put Arsenal in third place in the standings and shift Aston Villa position.
