Every team has a different way of building their team and indeed PSG chose the wrong path because they didn't want to go through the process and rely on the power of money they have to buy star players and hope they will achieve achievements on the European stage, that's the wrong thing and Even Mancheter City used to be like that before they finally went through such a long process that it was only last season that they managed to become CUL champions.
Likewise with PSG at the moment, especially because in the French League there are no fierce competitors so PSG cannot measure its strength.
I think so too, what it means is that PSG has built their squad to be better in every transfer market, where PSG management is able to bring in many star players into their team every season. But what they lack is of course the frequent firing of coaches which they often did in previous seasons, which might make their performance less impressive in every Champions League competition. A team must be truly united between the players and their coach and if a team frequently changes coaches then the end result will be less than satisfactory as experienced by PSG.

It is quite natural for PSG to build their squad with money because they have strong enough finances to recruit star players. It won't be a big deal but they should give their coaches time to be able to implement better organized play each season. This season, PSG has a great coach and if Luis Enrique fails in the Champions League this season, management should not fire him, in fact management should give Luis Enrique time like Manchester City did with Pep Guardiola.
Well, this season PSG is so strong if you look at the depth of their players that perhaps they are also very favorites to reach the final this season.
