But who are these players then after they bought Neymar, Messi and Mbappe? I think it can't get any better than that if we talk about star players that they could buy. I think there isn't much they can do from here. But let's assume that their goal would be to bring in a whole new set of star players, who are these players then?
Sometimes the problem may not lay within the players but with the club but the management may fail to understand this and because they are financially capable they keep buying more and more players who will come receive pay check and go without achieving that which the team did bought them for .

If PSG keeps buying new sets of players more like a continuous overhauling, how then can they build a team that can be formidable enough to stand the teat of times. The basics of a good and strong team isn't in buy new players every season but building these players just like Dortmund does only that Dortmund is in a contentious habit of selling them off if not with their building skill they would have had one of the best team across Europe, rather than scouting for new players to buy for the team, PSG should focus on building the ones they have already and in few years to come they will be ready to lift the champions league.

If we are looking back, I think it is safe to say that they took a lot of time to build a competitive team over the last decade, which actually culminated with having Neymar, Messi and Mbappe on the team at the same time. It is not only these three players, but also top defensive players like Achraf Hakimi and many others and yet it wasn't good enough to win the Champions League. I wonder if the discussions about PSG not winning the Champions League would still be similarly intense if they won that Champions League final against Bayern Munich back at the time. It would have changed a lot for PSG I think.
