With Farioli in charge, Nice are making good signings. They were undefeated until the last 5 weeks but they lost 3 times in the last 5 games and dropped a bit in points but they are still in 2nd place. If PSG weren't so good they could chase the title but for now it seems like a dream. They signed Valentin Rosier for right back. Rosier will play there on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. He went from one Eagle to another. I think he will play more comfortably in France, the atmosphere in Türkiye was different. When you play well, there is no problem, but when you play badly, the pressure of the fans can stress the players. I think things are a bit more comfortable in France.
But I feel that this was more a question of time until Nice begins to lose way more games because they have been playing too much on the edge all the time. It has been subject of discussion here before, but if a team scores only one goal in almost all of the games and then has to defend and keep a clean sheet, that's not a recipe for success in the long run. As soon as their defense starts getting some trouble during games and as soon as the other teams score the first goal, Nice instantly had a problem. I knew that once their defense fails, their games will be a fail.
Nice has been giving us another false hope by performing so excellently at the early season but it's playing like a garbage club at the middle of season. The record from last five matches were enough to be considered as proofs.
LWLWL, that's bad result and IMO the chance for nice to get the trophy is zero now. It has 8 points gap to the PSG which is placing at the top. The winner for french league this season is PSG. Nice and monaco have gone out from the title race.
PSG is now dominating the competition with its very consistent performance. It was fucking crazy to see that monaco and nice were just declining so hard in matter of few weeks.
