After losing to Barca in October last year in La Liga, Athletic Bilbao faced defeat after 10 matches. Athletic Bilbao have played well this season and are currently third in the points table, but if win today would have widened their points gap with Barcelona. Athletic Bilbao had control of the match, taking three shots at goal but unable to beat the goalkeeper. H. Duro scored the only goal in the 61st minute to give Valencia the lead and win. Valencia are behind the first but are slowly coming back towards the top of the points table.
Athletico Bilbao in their last five games won all four and lost only one asides which they have been playing really good this season, they started off this season very nicely and have so far been able to maintain that tempo although they have gotten few losses in-between but that hasn't caused them to slack in any form.
Athletico Bilbao currently at the third position on the Spanish league table this season with With fourty one point same as Barcelona but with some good goal difference which have kept them apart, Barcelona in their current form wouldn't be able to win athletico Bilbao now if they meet on a fixture due to their current form, Bilbao have got a better form and strength but Barcelona have got a better depth than Bilbao if Barcelona hopefully wins their next game with good goal margin they can have a good chance of staying ahead of Bilbao.
