Confidence is the flying slogan for EPL elite team, they're not holding ground for poor results. Mikel Arteta knows how to fight, he doesn't relent in his actions because he's keen on getting the best performance and stats for Arsenal. Who's on the rader for Arsenal to sign this summer? I see nothing wrong the present Gunners because they've shown to become promising and at the same time, they're relenting in performance more especially in matches against mediocre teams that would have aides them to become tougher than their usual position.
The way Arsenal performed against teams they needed to win in order to maintain their current standing, It really surprised when they lost to a team they should have won and gained points from. Mikel Arteta must have known that winning the trophy with the current players would be difficult, and he shouldn't have rely on them, getting more players to avoid the same situation as the previous season is better, Manchester City which is stronger than them, signed more players this transfer window, but I haven't see anything that Arsenal will sign any more players to the squad.
Fulham did humiliate both Nottingham Forrest and West Ham by scoring 5 goals without conceded, yet they're struggle when they face top clubs. Crystal Palace is nothing different with them, a weak club, so I don't expect Arsenal will join the title race just by winning with big scores against weak club.

I can't compare Arsenal's performance to Fulham's, as Arsenal is more stronger than they are, but I think Arsenal has returned to their winning ways. I didn't see Arsenal as a weak team, even though they lost points in their previous games, i believe they would get stronger in the remaining games. I agree that Arsenal scored five goals against a weak team, but this season Crystal Palace and Manchester City have drawn. Since Arsenal still has games left to win and earn points, I believe they will compete for the title among the other top clubs.
