I agree with that, but don't think Liverpool need to feel pressured as long as they don't come up against a team as strong as them. Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester City are the teams who so far appear to have an equal chance of winning against Liverpool, but Bournemouth are not. Even if Bournemouth plays at home, but they don't have a good probability of winning against a top team like Liverpool. So Liverpool are favorites to win, but Klopp needs to be careful about planning the game.
Liverpool must win and they must not lose points if they don't want Manchester City to come and bring a lot of pressure. Manchester City and Liverpool are only 2 points apart so far, so it is relatively small to expect Liverpool to lead the standings safely. But in my opinion, Liverpool won today.
But you can see that the teams from the bottom of the table aren't as weak in most of the games as the table would suggest. It is not like
upper third vs.
lower third = win for the team from the upper third of the table. It is just now that Sheffield United could beat West Ham United as they are in the driving seat. Of course you are not wrong that this game should be a win for Liverpool, but drawing conclusions early went wrong a couple of times for me this season.
It just came to my mind that Liverpool had this game against Luton Town when they were only able to get 1 point from it and that was only possible because Diaz scored a goal in minute 5 of extra time. But I admit that in early November they were not as good in shape as they are now, but then again Salah is missing.
