I had said some weeks back that Liverpool attacking players had to step up in the absence of Mo Salah due to AFCON duties, and that is what they did today, a brace for both Jota and Nunez, and i am pretty sure the manager will be delighted, because Salah has also picked up an injury in the AFCON, and this might extend his absence from the first team.

Having said that, with this win Liverpool extend their lead at the summit to five points, though City in second place have a game in hand. It is so tight at the top of the table, and we are set for another entertaining title race, Liverpool lead right now but we all know how good City are at chasing down teams at the top the table, i can't wait to see how this one pans out.
