It was a deserving win for girona , their performance all through the game was brilliant although at some point Sevilla tried to get some balance but then Girona was still the better side, they had a better possession of the ball and even made more attempts than Sevilla did.
Girona was able to convert their attempts to several goals which personally I didn't expect that the victory will come with such goal margin. It's very obvious if given a chance Girona may end up with the la Liga title this season, they are now one points ahead of their very immediately counterpart Real Madrid and in the past week this has been the trend whereby they both alternate position in-between the top and second on the table, if Real Madrid continues like this and not able to give Girona a good distance away they can be sure to lose the la Liga title to Girona by the end of the season.
Happy for Girona because I did not like the way the Real Madrid game went it was almost as if the officials of the game wanted Real Madrid too not to lose the game and drop points. From Real Madrid's second goal that was allowed by VAR, to the extra added 11 minutes it all was seemed somehow to me. Congratulations to Girona for maintaining the heat and pressure on Real Madrid in their attempt to win the La Liga again. Girona continues to perform above expectations.
It's only temporary as realmadrid has 1 game left and it can surpass girona again as long as real madrid will not be bottling the next game. Real madrid is potentially to winning the la liga title this season by seeing its performance against girona. Im very skeptical about girona to keep its performance to be very consistent till the end of season. Im not feeling doubt for real madrid but girona seems take it differently caused by we have been seeing the club's performance has been declining a little big.
The main question that still needs to be answered by Girona pertains to consistency. The club needs to make a lot of preparation to make it real. Girona was only playing the next game early than real madrid. Real madrid is always giving pressure to the girona.
The way for girona to take the trophy becomes even harder if real madrid will win the upcoming game. It's caused by girona needs also to get three points and it's a must for girona to take it.
Real madrid shall not need to feel worry about that. I think real will be winning the game soon and it's a just matter of time till real will get its second trophy for this season.
