My question is, why is Erik ten Hag too confident in Onana to guard Manchester United's goal, who often makes mistakes when Manchester United play?
Erik Ten Hag is always confident in Andre Onana despite his frequent mistakes, always what Erik Ten Hag says is: "I believe Onana will rise and have confidence" even though we know he was a bad goalkeeper after the move from Inter Milan.
Onana's form is no longer what it was at Inter Milan he can be said to have deteriorated in performance as a goalkeeper and perhaps it can be said more goals against him in the EPL than any other goalkeeper?
Until Erik Ten Hag is still at Manchester United I think he will remain the main player.
I think what Ten hags doesn’t know is the that the EPL is different from Eredivisie and Serie A. At Inter Milan, Onana had enough defensive security, couple with the way they play in the team with 3 at the back which provided enough solidity at the back to protect him and mask his errors.
At Manchester United, the defense is non existent. His errors are becoming unnumbered and it was the idea of the manager to bring him to the club, so I think it’s the hope that "things might get better" that’s keeping him at the club.
