For sure they wont because it would really be affecting out their overall credibility on the time that they would really be able to make such act on which we do know that its never been that appealing or something that would really be that recommended for them to do so. There's no easy way for you to make yourself that to gain up that trust which you have built up overtime.
This is why it would really be just that normal that you would really be having those thoughts that you should have only be able to introduce something in public
into those projects which you do really know that it is really that legit. You wont really be tending to mess up your reputation that you had built up for so long.
You are right and those who are reputed influencers will never share anything which is not legit. As they only share legit sites there is no chance of being a scam. But if they do not know the inner handling way then can happen the difference.
Reputation is something that is built over a time or periods. For an influencer to get to the level of being called a reputable one, then I think he would had made some certain decisions that is in interest of the people he is passing information to.
We need to be wise and watch for what fruit is good and select them from the bad ones. There are influencers that would not mind what the consequences of the information they are passing could be, all they care about is money and not the interest of their followers.

Reputation is key certainly. I am quite tired of the whole influencer thing. I can admit that someone has social influence in their field, for example a football player on football shoes, but nowadays what I see is only "influencers" that get paid to advertise something that is completely alien to that for what they are considered socially relevant. Is like ephemeral influencing.
