It is clear from what you say that all gamblers should have a limited amount to gamble in a casino or online. This is the frequent problem of a gambler, which is why it always leads to big losses in gambling. Those who don't know how much they will lose gambling in a casino.
I think many of them known or have an idea on how much they're going to lose but they just turn their eyes blind when they're already losing.
Ego is hard to beat and recovering is much easier to think of than accepting the big losses that someone might have.
Those that can't track their losses or don't really track at all, many gamblers do that. They're having hard time in figuring out how much budget they will do to gamble.
Understanding our personal self would be an advantage to us since we can do things that would always profit us to earn more. Once we understand ourselves as a gambler, there are some certain decisions that we don't have to neglect because they could help us become a better gambler. Ego have destroyed man to people due to there over confidence that they are going to make so much money in a particular bet. Once we understand what to do and how to do it, it would strengthen us to achieve more when we bet because we can always make profits when things falls to our fall when have gain superb experience.
Honestly I'm not too sure if indeed by understanding ourselves it will be able to make us make a lot of money in gambling, you need to be more assertive in the direction of which advice you give and in my opinion what you say is more directed at preventive measures or to minimize all possible risks so that they are not too significant, in gambling any result can occur and not just victory, Even as we know that the percentage of risk is much greater than the possibility of winning opportunities, and there is a lot of evidence that most gamblers lose more than win, I understand that it is because they cannot understand themselves which ultimately makes it difficult for them to reach a point of awareness when the situation is getting hot and this is usually what makes gamblers take actions beyond their abilities which ultimately have an impact on the number of losses that are getting bigger.
For the ego problem, yes I agree with you that this can make the situation even worse when someone is too confident that he can get a win, as I said above that they seem to override consciousness, whereas this would be very useful to remember the fact that gambling is just a game of probability that does not have any certainty for the final result, in my opinion all this is because of the hope they put on winning.
