It is good to see that Liverpool didn't get distracted or impatient because of that first half without goals. They had all the advantages in the game in their side although it has to be said that conceding a goal can happen anytime against any of the Premier League clubs. They aren't amateurs either.
But this was a great win and they also did some work for their goal difference. It doesn't mean a lot as of now, but it lets the other competitors know that Liverpool is right where they want to be. This was on point today and the table looks great for them. Best defense and second best offense.
Liverpool we all look down are actually the club that proves to have good scores in EPL today. They're elite team and I don't think they're ready to step down from the #1 spot on the table, probably not today or tomorrow. Jurgen Klopp felt the absence of his keyman in the frontline but that doesn't restrain him from implementing good strategy towards Bournemouth. The Reds thrashed the Cherries without mercy despite been the visitors at the Vitality stadium. Bournemouth vs Liverpool ended 4-0 with the visitors taking home three solid points.
The season is still quite young to be honest. There are so many more games to go and for now it looks great, but I don't think that Manchester City will show some weakness at some point. I rather expect Manchester City to win their game, close the gap and then keep pushing Liverpool. There is no scope for any mistakes for Liverpool. In March there will be the game Liverpool vs. Manchester City, but the good news for Liverpool is that the game takes place in Anfield. I think this could be an important advantage for them and depending on how both teams will perform until then, maybe this is a first final of the season already.
